      Hannover sightseeing for young people

      The Sprengel Museum, Lake Maschsee with water sports, beer gardens and beaches, the old quarter with its timber-framed buildings, bistros and the flea market: sightseeing in Hannover offers plenty of highlights for young people. Herrenhausen Gardens are one of the city's most famous attractions.

      Anyone looking for inspiration ought to try the Sprengel Museum in Hannover. It exhibits modern art from the 20th and 21st century, contains one of Europe's first photo galleries and presents innovative film and video works. The museum is also renowned for its spectacular art shows. Nearby Lake Maschsee offers a chance to relax, go sailing or stop for refreshments.

      A great way of exploring Hannover is the Red Thread, a red line painted onto the pavement which links the city's main attractions. These include Hohes Ufer embankment, the flea market and the old quarter with Marktkirche church and the old town hall. Beyond the Red Thread lie the famous Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen with the Great Garden, Georgengarten, Berggarten and the SEA LIFE aquarium, a fabulous underwater world.
