The Gallery was built between 1694 und 1698 and hardly anything of the Gallery has changed since the times of Electress Sophie. The magnificent rooms can be visited during tours of the museum. The most fascinating part of this historic buidling is the banqueting hall, where the gaze is transfixed by the ornamentalceiling with its endless serpentine grey-blue knot patterns and the frescoes on the wall by Venetian artist Tommaso Giusti, which depict a cycle of tales from Trojan wars. Today as ever, the banqueting hall is the setting for concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and festiva receptions.
The Gallery can be rented.
From May on public guided tours take place for the first time.
